The Wright Pulsar is a bus body built by Wrightbus for the VDL SB200 lightweight bus chassis. It is the replacement for the "Classic" style Commander, Merit and Cadet.
It was launched at Euro Bus Expo 2006. The first example is finished in Arriva colours and the livery is based on the livery on Arriva's "Bus of the Future", which had a similar body shape. Its registration is CX07 COJ, which is now allocated to Arriva Buses Wales at Llandudno Junction
The Pulsar 2, with front and rear ends facelifted to match the Eclipse 2, was first built in 2009. The first examples had been delivered to Arriva North East and Arriva North West.
