The Wantage Engineering Co. was formed in Wantage, Berkshire (now Oxfordshire). The company was formed from Robinson and Auden by Lord Wantage in 1900. The company built agricultural threshing mmachinery, traction engines and portable engines.[1]

The company was created in 1900 when Lord Wantage the local land owner and founder of the Red Cross. bought out the shares of Robinson and Auden based in Wantage.

Preservation[]
Very few examples survive of this small manufacturers products. Only 2 traction engines are recorded as existing tod in the UK and Ireland.[3]
