Model History[edit | edit source]
- For Company history see
- Main article: International Harvester
International decided to enter the garden tractor market in 1961 with the Cub Cadet. Unlike some of the riding tractors on the market, the Cub Cadet was styled like a real tractor and it was the first garden tractor built by a major tractor manufacturer. It was also sold and serviced by highly respected International dealerships. The 7-hp Cub Cadet was powered by a 16 ci single-cylinder air-cooled Kohler engine and used a 3-speed transmission with V-belt drive from the engine to the transmission input shaft. Unlike International farm tractors, the Cub Cadet was painted a 2-tone yellow and white. It was an instant hit and 19,091[1] were built the first year.

This is a place holder template for a 'Model range' list Navbox. |
---|
A navbox should replace it named in the form: - The basic code to create the page is; <noinclude> Documentation<!-- adds standard blank docs that usage notes can be added to --> <!-- add any other relavent categories here --> </noinclude> Copy & paste into a new template via the red link treated in the article by changing the wiki link from this pages title to the new template with the 'correct name' then fill in the 'outline code' with data & save it. The template should then appear in the page, Then add a link to it from every page listed within the template. (Normally placed below the 'External links' section within the article - leave 2 (two) blank lines to create a gap above the navboxes). (Do NOT change this actual template/page it is used in many article pages !! )
