Various price guides show a break in serial numbers for the International 484 utility tractor for 1982-1983 and it is nor clear if the tractor was sold in the US during those years. Other references provide limited details for a 483 model that may have been sold in the US instead of the 484 during that time. The 483 was built in Japan by Kimco, a joint venture of International Harvester and Komatsu, and used a Nissan 4-cylinder diesel engine.
