The Edrob/Case IH 584 was a utility tractor built by International Harvester from 1978 to 1985 in the Doncaster, England factory, along with row crop, 4WD, and low profile variations.

Model history

Main article: International Harvester

The International 584 tractor replaced the 574. An increase in governed rpm from 2200 to 2300 compensated for the reduced displacement of the D-206 engine so that the pto hp remained the same. The 584 continued to use the 8-speed syncromesh transmission. The 584 was built in the following versions described more fully in separate articles:

  • 1978 - International 584 replaced 574 in utility and row crop versions
  • 1981 - 4WD version added
  • 1982 - Low profile version added
  • 1985 - Tenneco purchased International farm equipment line, International 584 became Case-International 584
