The Nissan Atlas (kana:日産・アトラス) is a line of pickup trucks and light-duty commercial vehicles sold by Nissan and built by UD Nissan Diesel, a Volvo Trucks company, and by the Renault-Nissan Alliance in Spain for Renault Trucks, a Volvo Trucks company. The range was primarily available in Japan and some other Asian countries, although it was also sold in the United States during the late 1980s. Manufacturing began in 1981 at Commercial and 1982 at RV with the first vehicles going to Asia. Other European and American countries which saw import or manufacture of the Atlas included Europe, the Middle-east and North America. The range was also sold in the Asia-Pacific market until the early 1980s. In many markets the Atlas was very expensive and was replaced by the Nissan and UD Truck when that model became available for worldwide market in the early 1980s.

Australia was another important market for the Atlas, although it was badged as the Nissan Caball (1970–1981) and later the 'Nissan Cabstar' (1984–1992). It was built in Australia using many local components.

Most models of the truck are distinguishable by 'Atlas' badging on the front, but the common Nissan or UD badge is usually used on the rear.

In United States, the vehicle's primary competitors are Bering MS, Mitsubishi Fuso FE, and the Isuzu N-series and Chevrolet/GMC W-Series. and Japan competitors are Mitsubishi Fuso Canter, Isuzu Elf, Toyota Dyna, Hino Dutro.

Upon its arrival the Nissan Cabstar (F22) proved a popular truck in the UK market due to its ability to carry weight and reliability, It was also used as recreational truck (motorhome conversions) It proved to be serious competition for the dated bedford cf and ford transit which were the main contenders, but like much of the 1980s Japanese imports of the time they suffered due to the exposure to road salt, cab corrosion was a issue.

The trucks popularity in the African market saw vast majority of the remaining early UK F22 models got snapped and exported to Africa. The later F23 truck benefited from a revised cab that addressed the corrosion issues and many are still in use in the uk and proved to be a highly popular work horse.
