The Steam Museum is a small museum founded in 1991 by Michael List Brain in a old Oust House adjacent to Preston Services yard at Preston in Kent. The museum is run by volunteers of The Steam Museum Trust. The museum trust also operate the Ramsgate Maritime Museum following a deal with Thanet Council in 2012 to reopen and expand the local history museum located in Ramsgate Docks.
