The Singer Tractor was basically a rebranded Oak Tree Appliances tractor (OTA) with a few minor changes made after the Singer Motors Company took over manufacture of this compact tractor in 1953. Singer Motors was taken over in 1956 by the Rootes Group.

Some of the tinwork was changed along with the seat and fuel tank arrangement.
