Shandong Shantui Construction Machinery Co., Shantui, is Chinese manufacturer of construction machinery, and a part of Shandong Heavy Industry. The company was founded in 1980. They claim to be the biggest manufacturer of bulldozers in the world.
Company history
The company began in 1980 as the Shandong Bulldozer Factory from the merging of the Jining Machine Factory, Jining General Machinery Factory and Jining Power Machinery Factory, and the signing of a technology license with Komatsu of Japan on Jan. 1, 1980. In 1993, the company was reorganized and renamed Shandong Shantui Construction Machinery Co.
In 1995, a joint venture was set up between Shantui and Komatsu, known as Komatsu Shantui Construction Machinery, Ltd..[1]
It is now part of Shandong Heavy Industry Group.
