Shanghai Tractor & Internal Combustion Engine Corporation (STEC), sometimes referred to as S-Tec, is a tractor and engine manufacturer located in Shanghai, Shanghai province, China. They manufacture under the Shanghai brand and are a unit of the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation.
In 1984, Fiat of Italy signed agreement to renovate Shanghai's plant and license them to build Fiat-designed tractors. In 2001, Shanghai formed joint venture with New Holland, a unit of Fiat, to produce and export tractors under 100 hp (75 kW), which is called Shanghai New Holland Agricultural Machinery Corp., Ltd. Many, if not all, of the tractors are now built under the joint venture.
