The Shanghai Diesel Engine Company (SDEC) is an engine manufacturer based in Shanghai, China. Founded in 1947, it is part of the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation and builds heavy duty engines for trucks, buses, tractors and marine applications.
SDEC participates in an engine manufacturing joint venture with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries called Shanghai MHI Engine in a 50:50 venture. It was founded in 2013.[1]
