Sentinel no. 6426 is a steam tractor that was built in 1926 by Sentinels in Shrewsbury, England. This engine was repatriated from Australia by D. Maris in 2006 . It was offered for sale at Cheffins auction in 2012 but failed to meet reserve.
Sent to an exhibition in Sydney in 1926 and later sold to a gold mine.Was used to drive a crusher.Later stood derelict on a fruit farm.It was recovered by an Australian collector and later sold to D Maris
Rebuilt in UK over several years. Debuted at the Belvoir Castle Steam Festival/2010 in a light blue livery with yellow wheels.
Repainted in a darker blue livery with new sign writing in winter 2013 following work to complete the winch.
Winter 2014 offered for sale via Preston Services. Sold Feb 2015.
