The Senor brand dates back to the year 1890 when brothers Juan and Emilio Senor began their activities in the town of San Vicente, Santa Fe, Argentina with a workshop of black-smithing and the repair of agricultural implements. In 1905, sulkys and blood traction carriages were manufactured.
History[]
Juan and Emilio Senor manufactured their first self-propelled combine harvester in 1920, and in ten years later there were 155 harvesters working in the country. Don Andrés Bernardin worked for a time at Senor, before founding his own company. The company grew in such a way that by 1986 they had 400 workers and employees, with another 600 that worked in subsidiary companies, and 100 agents distributed throughout in the country.
Later they begin to work on the threshing of grain with threshing machines powered by steam engines. This led them to build their own design of short threshing machine in 1920 that is successfully tested in the wheat harvest of that year. In 1921 they began manufacturing the threshers under the name of Senor (which means Lord).
From 1960-1970 Senor produced 450 to 500 units a year of the combine harvester models Senor B 3, Senor JE-40, Senor JE-50, plus other implements such as sunflower and corn harvesters. They had about 700 workers either directly or indirectly working for the factory.
80's crissis[]
With numerous financial crises in the 1980's, the company went bankrupt and closed in 1987.
