Savage no. 231 is a No.2 organ engine built by Savage Bros of Kings Lynn, Norfolk, in 1881. It is believed to be the oldest Working example surviving today.
The engine is currently mounted on Lydia Grace a Savage Bros built centre engine built in 1896.
Showmans road locomotives (number built/survive) Note: a lot of current showman's engines are conversions, done both during working life and in the preservation era.
