Societe d'Installation de Force et de Tractor or SIFT was a French tractor manufacturer, founded by two ex-Renault employees in Boulogne sur Seine, France. The company stared building tractors in 1935. The firm exported a few tractors to Australia in the 1950s.
The tractors were powered by a 4-cylinder diesel engine. A later 2-cylinder model was also built. They were taken over by SNECMA, an aerospace company, in 1949 and the firm, like many other small tractor companies, stopped building tractors by the end of the 1960s as competition and the growth of larger tractors from international manufactures took over the market. They only built about 100 tractors per year at the height of production.
