Peterbro Tractor of 1923 - R

A rare surviving Peterbro tractor, Exhibited at the Newby Hall Vintage Gathering 2009

Peter Brotherhood Ltd, is a company based in Peterborough. They were established 1867.

They were one of the firms that joined the of collective "Agricultural & General Engineers" group AGE in 1919. The group was not a success and went bust in 1932.

The companies products in 1921 included electric lighting sets, refrigerating plants, steam engines and turbines, air compressors, internal combustion engines and farm tractors. The company is still very much in business.

The Peterbro Tractor[]

The company built a Tractor in the early 1920s that was known as the Peterbro Tractor. (Details required)

The 1920s recession and the cheap Ford tractors reduced demand, and it was not a great success. A few examples exist today in the UK, with some in Australia & New Zealand were a number were exported to.
