
Restored early Perkins Leopard 4 engine on display at the Anson Engine Museum
A Nuffield Fitted with Perkins P4TA
The Perkins models 4.107 and 4.108 of engines was built from November 1957 till 1971 . It was Originally known as the Puma. The low reving 1500rpm TA (Tractor Application) version fitted with Cast Iron pistons and the 1750rpm Higher reving V (Vehicle) version were fitted with aluminium pistons. Later versions of the TA was were fitted with the aluminium Pistons.
A prototype tracor was built for Frank Perkins from a Ford 9NAN fitted with his new P4TA engine.[1]
