PNP 365T is a restored Foden Showmans / Ballast Tractor unit (truck) fitted with a Showmans ballast box body c/w generator. This truck was at the Woolpit Steam rally in 2009. The truck was listed in the catalogue (commercial vehicle section) exhibit No 3 as owned by R. Byford. as 1960s showmans living van & generator (no details of truck).
Vehicle history[]
Believed built in 1978, For Shell Oil as 50 ton gross tractor unit. Used for Aircraft refueling unit for Falcons.
- Fitted with Taskmaster Cab
- Cummins 250 hp 14 litre engine
- 12 speed gearbox
Sold on and converted to a ballast tractor unit & fitted with a 1950's Detroit Diesel powered 2-stroke generator unit for Showmans use.
Displayed with a 1970's Sipson 32 ft showmans living van originally used by the James family of showmen from Essex.
Bought by present owner in 2007 & used for rallies.
