PMA (Production Matériel Agricole) was a tractor and engine brand manufactured in Algeria under license from Deutz-Fahr and what is now Deutz AG. The company is now known as Complexe Motoers Tracteurs (CMT), and sells tractors under the Cirta or CMT brands, and combines under license from Claas with the Tessala brand.
PMA was established in 1974 in Constantine, Algeria, and the name was changed to CMT (Complexe Motoers Tracteurs) in 1997. They have the capacity to build 3,000 tractors and 6,000 motors per year. They have exported to Iraq, Zimbabwe, Serbia, Tunisia, Mozambique, Libya, Croatia and others.
In 2010, it was announced that CMT would be restructured into two separate companies; one to produce tractors, and the other for the production of engines.[1]
