The New Holland 7840 tractor was built in England by New Holland. It features a 90 hp (67 kW) New Holland engine.

Model history[]

For brand history, see New Holland.

This tractor was basically a rebranded Ford 7840 after Ford sold the tractor operations to Fiat.

Offered in 2-wd or 4-wd with 5, 12, or 16 speed gearboxes.

Preservation[]

This is still a relatively modern tractor with many examples still at work on mixed farms and hill farms, but a few examples are starting to be collected by collectors as a model that can be used for work occasionally during harvest and hobby use such as pulling a low loader with another older tractor on to shows.
