The Mogul 45-HP went into production in late 1910, for 1911 sales, in International Harvester's new Tractor Works in Chicago, Illinois. Although it was roughly the same size and had the same power rating as the Titan Type D 45-HP that entered production earlier in the Milwaukee Works, the Mogul 45-HP was an entirely different design. The Mogul was powered by a horizontally-opposed 2-cylinder engine instead of the parallel twin of the Titan. The Mogul also had a gear forward/friction reverse transmission while the Titan was geared in both directions. The Mogul's engine was cooled by a square radiator box with a belt driven fan mounted on top. In 1912 the Mogul engine was enlarged and the tractor was renamed Mogul 30-60.
