Minervino was a company originally from Chivilcoy, province of Buenos Aires. Its creator was Don Genaro Minervino, by force of hammer, anvil and imagination, as a good pioneer.

History[]

First, working with Julio Ottino in the metallurgical workshop of the latter, which is separated in 1929. Precisely, since 1929, he dedicated himself to repair and adapt the imported machinery to the needs of our agriculture. The unsatisfied demand and the closing of the importation, as a result of the economic crisis of those years, decided Don Genaro to take a step forward, initiating the manufacture of sunflower collectors.

Minervino in the 30's[]

Since 1934 the sale of this machine was an important milestone in the expansion of the company. Its current owners remember with legitimate satisfaction having been the first manufacturers of this type of collectors. The growing needs derived from the technification of agriculture, led Minervino to manufacture equipment matayuyos and rural trailers, obtaining important official tenders to provide specialized services.

In 1951, don Genaro Minervino died. In 1959 they began a new experience with the manufacture of forage "choppers".

To improve its working capacity, horizontal cylinders were introduced, which has favored its operational efficiency, reaching more than 3000 grinders sold. The experience gathered during these years has helped the company to face the production of the new forage harvester.

In 1981, amid the "sweet silver", hyperinflation and a de facto military government, Minervino closes its doors forever.
