Engine History[]
This traction engine was imported to New Zealand in 1911 worked in Canterbury area hauling and thrashing. After being left with an elderberry tree growing up through the fire box and tubes out the front, it was saved but the late H G Rainey of Ashburton who rallied it until he sold 1110 to H G Feather of Fernside who rallied it and contracted pulling trees etc then the McLaren was gifted to the Weaker Pass Railway in 19?? who then sold it to a buyer in the UK.
In the UK it was extensively rebuilt over several years and Debuted at the 2010, Carrington Rally.
