The McCormick-Deering OS-4 was built by International Harvester from 1944 to 1953 in Rock Island, Illinois, USA.
Model History[]
- For Company history see
- Main article: International Harvester
The McCormick-Deering OS-4 orchard tractor was very very similar to the McCormick-Deering W-4 standard. The tractor was built narrower to fit more easily between rows of trees. The air intake and exhaust were lowered to give a completely smooth hood. Optional headlights were mounted below the radiator. The seat and controls were mounted lower and farther to the rear. The OS-4 replaced the McCormick-Deering 10-20 Orchard. The OS-4, brought out in 1944, was basically an O-4 without the wheel and cowl shielding.
