The McCormick-Deering ID-40 was built by International Harvester in 1936.

The McCormick-Deering WA-40 wheatland-style standard-tread tractor replaced the McCormick-Deering 15-30 in 1935. A diesel version was also built as the WD-40. Similar industrial models added in 1936 were the McCormick-Deering IA-40 and ID-40, which became the International IK-40 and ID-40 in 1937.
