The Massey-Harris 744 was built from 1947 to 1953 in the UK at the Manchester M-H factory before moving to the M-H Kilmarnock plant in 1949. The M-H 744 was replaced by the Massey-Harris 745 in 1953, which had the Perkins L4 engine instead.
