The Maruti Eeco was introduced in India by Maruti Suzuki during 2010. This car is essentially an updated Versa, this is an urgent refresh in lines with Maruti Suzuki not being able to come up with a new minivan. EECO comes with 5-seater and 7-seater options. EECO is equipped with advanced Engine Management System for optimizing fuel efficiency and performance. It is branded by the manufacturer as a perfect car for every occasion-a business trip or a picnic with the loved ones.[1] A new minivan from Maruti Suzuki is expected in 2011 to replace the Eeco/Versa and (possibly) the ageing Omni.

EECO boasts of luxury features like AC, digital trip meter, integrated head rests in front row and tubeless radial tires.
Noteworthy feature is the Diagonal Shift Assistance for smoother diagonal gear movements [rather than the earlier rigid straight line gear shifting].

Maruti Suzuki Eeco Green Maruti Suzuki has also introduced EECO Green Range. It is equipped with Maruti Suzuki’s advanced i-GPI technology. It runs on nature’s ECO Fuel-CNG. It is claimed to be safer, more efficient and cuts down one's fuel costs. It is available in 5 Seater AC and Standard variants, it is equipped with futuristic Intelligent Gas Port Injection (i-GPI) Technology. It also comes with a Maruti Suzuki warranty, ensuring complete peace of mind. It is positioned as Eco-friendly car.
