The MAN L2000 is a family of medium-duty trucks produced by MAN between 1994 and 2005 (after-Renault Type PR, Renault ADK, Renault AGC, Renault AHx, Renault Galion, MAN SM/SG 2 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8, MAN G90 (1979-1987), and MAN G90 (1987-1993)).
History[]
The MAN L2000 family includes two-axle vehicles with a gross weight from 6 to 11.5 tons with 4- and 6-cylinder turbocharged engines (volume 4.58 l, power 102, 110, 113, 140, 155 and 180 hp. ; volume 6.87 liters with a power of 220 hp), mechanical 5-speed gearboxes “ ZF ” type “Ecolite S5-42”, 6-speed gearboxes “ ZF ” type “Ecolite S6-36”, “S6-850” ", or "Eaton" type "FSO4106B/ FSO5206B", 9-speed "Eaton" type "FS8209/ FS8309". For urban distribution operations, a 5-speed Allison automatic transmission of the AT545A type, GMP and EPS are offered. The suspension can be leaf spring or pneumatic on the rear axle depending on the needs. The car is equipped with both disc brakes of the “Wabco/Perrot” type “PAN17” on all axles, and drum brakes on the rear axle or on all - in all-wheel drive versions. The standard wheel size is 17.5 inches, with all-wheel drive - 22.5 inches. Engines of the "D0824/0826" series were equipped with a " Bosch " fuel system with in-line fuel injection pumps or "VE" type distributors. The first MAN L2000 cars complied with Euro-1 emission standards ; in 1994, Euro-2 engines appeared in the range .
