L&T-Komatsu Ltd. was a joint venture company founded in 1998 between Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) and Komatsu Asia Pacific Pte Ltd., Singapore, which is a subsidiary of Komatsu Ltd. of Japan. The plant was originally founded in 1975 by L&T for the manufacture of Hydraulic Excavators. It is based in Bangalore, India. Komatsu sold their shares in the joint venture to L&T in 2013, and exited the company.[1]
