Kioti (pronounced "coyote") is the trade name for Daedong tractors in North America and parts of Europe. Daedong, which is based in Daegu, South Korea, was founded in 1947, producing its first tractor in in 1968. In 1993, Daedong expanded into the U.S. market with Daedong-USA, based in Wendell, North Carolina, and established the Kioti tractor brand. [1][2]

Daedong produces tractors, combines, rice transplanters and tillers, as well as engines used in industry and power generation. In 2007, Daedong manufactured over 14,000 tractors.[3]

Presently, Daedong markets at least nine different tractor models in the United States, ranging from 19 to 90 horsepower, as well as a number of attachments and implements.
