Kenya Vehicle Manufacturers, Ltd (KVM) began in 1974 in Garissa Road Thika, Kenya as Leyland Kenya Limited. It changed its name to the current one in 1989. From its outset, they assembled CKD Land Rovers, Range Rovers, Volkswagen Microbuses, Leyland Trucks and Leyland Buses. They now manufacture 11 models including models from Nissan, UD Trucks, Mazda, Foton, Land Rover, Mercedes, MAN and Iveco. KVM can manufacture 6,600 vehicles per year.[1]KVM have recently launched the citimax 120 bus for efficient mode of transport.
