KCM Corporation is a manufacturer of Wheel Loaders based in Kako-gun, Japan. Its roots go back to 1960 when Kawasaki Rolling Stock Mfg. Co. began producing Construction machinery. The first wheel loaders were produced in 1962. In 1981, KLI (Kawasaki Loaders, Inc.), a subsidiary sales distribution company, was established in Georgia, USA, with the manufacturing arm, KLM (Kawasaki Loaders Manufacturing Corp., U.S.A.), opening in Georgia in 1997. In 1997, KLI and KLM merged as KCM (Kawasaki Construction Machinery Corp. of America), and in 2009, KCM Corporation was established as an independent division of Kawasaki Heavy Industries[2] with KHI owning 66%, and Hitachi Construction Machinery owning 34%.[3]

The newest range of wheel loaders are marketed under both the Kawasaki and Hitachi brands.[4]
