The 9000 series was John Deere’s articulated tractor line in the 1990s. It was the last new series to end in a double-zero. These tractors looked markedly different from their predecessors. They had an entirely redesigned bonnet, the lights were square instead of round, and the cab looked more modern than it had previously. Since it was John Deere‘s range topper, most models came in tracked version. The other series were: the 200030004000500060007000, and 8000 series.

Power Ratings[]

The 9100 was the smallest model in the new series, with only 199hp at the drawbar. It featured 260 engine hp and 249hp at the PTO.

The 9200 had far more power, with 246hp at the drawbar alone, with 310 engine hp and 297hp at the PTO.

The 9300 had 360 engine hp with 302hp at the PTO.

The largest of the series, the 9400 had 425 engine hp with 345hp at the drawbar and 312hp at the PTO.

Variants []

Most models had a wheeled and a tracked version, except the 9100. The main difference between them in this case, however, was that the wheeled version was articulated, and the tracked version was rigid.

The 9200T had 310 engine hp, with 246hp at the drawbar and 297hp at the PTO.

The 9300T had 305hp at the drawbar, with 345hp at the PTO.

The 9400T had approximately 425 engine hp, with 346hp at the PTO, and 323hp at the drawbar.
