The 2000 series of tractors were built for John Deere by Zetor of the Czech Republic. The series featured eight models with power ratings from 45hp to 103hp. This was one of John Deere's biggest ranges ever. These models were produced from 1993 to 1998. All models were built in Brno, Czech Republic. They were part of John Deere’s new range of tractors in the 1990s. The other series were the 300040005000600070008000, and 9000 series.

Power Ratings[]

With only 45hp, the model 2000 was by far the smallest in the range. It was designed to work as a utility tractor.

The bigger 2100 had approximately 57hp and was also mainly sold as a utility tractor.

The 2200 had 63hp. Again, it was designed as a utility tractor.

With 69hp, the 2300 was only slightly bigger than the 2200. This one was more of a proper farm tractor, but was still classed as a utility model.

At 78hp, the 2400 had nearly 10 more horsepower than the 2300.

Going straight up to 2700 at 82hp, this one was only a little more powerful than the 2400.

The 92hp 2800 was a much bigger version of the 2700. It's main job was again utility.

With 103hp, the 2900 was the biggest and most powerful tractor in the 2000 series. It was similar in size to the biggest 6000 series tractors.
