The International Super A was built by International Harvester from 1948 to 1954 in Chicago, Illinois, USA and Louisville, Kentucky, USA.

Model History Edit

For Company history see
Main article: International Harvester

For row-crop model see: McCormick Farmall Super A

The International Super A industrial tractor was almost identical to the McCormick Farmall Super A. It just had a few stronger components for the heavy-duty industrial work.

Tractor Comparison Edit

The International Super A carried over the offset style of the row-crop Farmall version. It competed with small industrial tractors from several other manufacturers. The Allis-Chalmers IB resembled the Super A in being based on a row-crop model, but without the offset chassis. The Case VAI and John Deere MI were based on standard-tread, non-row crop models. The Minneapolis-Moline RTI was based on a taller tricycle row-crop tractor. During 1954 International Harvester upgraded the Super A with a larger engine and turned it into the more powerful International Super A-1
