Model History

For Company history see
Main article: International Harvester

In 1979 the red hydrostatic 17-hp International Cub Cadet 682 replaced the yellow and white International Cub Cadet 1650. The 682 used the smoother-running Kohler KT17 2-cylinder engine in place of the previous single-cylinder engine. After International Harvester sold its garden tractor manufacturing operation to MTD the International Cub Cadet 682 became the Cub Cadet 682.
