The 10-hp gear-drive International Cub Cadet 106 replaced the 104. The 106, along with the rest of the line introduced in late-1969, had a new look, with a forward-slanting grille, round headlights set in square holes in a divided headlight panel above the grille, and the "Cub Cadet name in script on a black stripes on the hood sides.
