Model History
Edit
- For Company history see
- Main article: International Harvester
In mid-1963 International Harvester brought out the 10-hp International Cub Cadet 100, which used the same frame as the International Cub Cadet 70 but with a larger 24 ci Kohler engine. The company was responding to the several other companies that, by 1963, were building garden tractors more powerful than the original 7-hp Cub Cadet. The Cub Cadet 100 competed with the Burns M90E, Colt 9.5-hp, Economy Estate, Gilson Pacer, Jacobsen 100G, Speedex S-23, Tiger 600 and 900, and Wheel Horse, as well as the soon-to-be-introduced Allis-Chalmers B-10, Simplicity Landlord, Colt Rancher and 2110-2310, Economy Jim Dandy, Homesteader 51, Jacobsen Chief, Springfield 64TE10, Wheel Horse, Husky 1000, Case 120-130-155, Lambert 1155, and Minneapolis-Moline Town & Country.
