The International B250 was built by the International Harvester Company of GB Ltd, at the Bradford works,England. The Bradford works was formerly the Jowett cars and van factory and also built the Bristol crawlers for a period. It featured a 30 hp (22 kW) engine and was built from 1955 through 1961.
Model history
The B-250 was made at the old Jowett car factory in Bradford U.K.,and was the first English made IH medium size tractor.It was introduced at the 1955 Royal Smithfield show,and continued in production until 1961.A 4 cyl indirect diesel engine,with glow plugs powered it,a 5 speed forward,one reverse gear box,live hydraulics,3 point hitch,two stage clutch.One of the first tractors to have disc brakes and a diff lock.( Thanks to Woolbeef & the Yesterday's Tractors Co. Preservation in the UK
A large number of these tractors have survived, and as a compact tractor are a popular choice for ploughing and road runs. The claimed earliest example is disputed, but several with a serial number below sn 500 exist.
