Model history[]
- Main article: International Harvester
For basic 424 utility tractor see International 424. For low-profile version see International 2424 Lo-Boy.
The International 2424 was a heavy-duty industrial variation of the 424 utility tractor with some of the standard equipment made optional.
Tractor Comparison, gasoline models[]
The International 2424 industrial tractor, based on the 424 agricultural utility, competed with the Allis-Chalmers I-40 (based on the D-12), Case 430 Utility and later 430CK (Construction King), Ford 2000 Industrial and later 3400 (based on the agricultural 3000), John Deere 1010 Industrial and later JD300 (based on the 1020), Massey Ferguson MF40 (based on MF135), and Oliver 2-44 (from 550). The Minneapolis-Moline Jet Star III Industrial was a larger and more powerful tractor.
