The 1100B 4x4 was changed very little from the 1100A 4x4. The only styling change was a new grille with a chrome grille surround and a fine mesh center. The GVW rating was unchanged at 5600 lb. Both standard and optional rear axles were increased in capacity and the standard tires were larger. The engine lineup was mostly unchanged: BG-241 and BG-265 6-cylinder and V266 and V-394 V8s. A new top option was the 197-hp V-345 V8 previously used only in medium-duty Loadstar and tilt-cab trucks. The automatic transmission was offered for the first time with 4WD.
