Hydraulic Breakers are often referred to as "breaker", "hammers", "peckers", "hoe rams" or "hoe rammers." All these terms are popular and commonly used amongst construction/demolition workers in different countries.[1] A hydraulic breaker is a powerful percussion hammer fitted to an excavator for demolishing concrete structures or breaking rocks. It is powered by an auxiliary hydraulic system line from the excavator, which is usually controlled with a foot-operated valve for this purpose. Demolition crews employ the hammer for jobs too large for manuall jackhammering or areas where blasting is not possible due to safety or environmental issues.
Available to fit machines from 1 ton to 100 tonnes size.
