Zhejiang Gonow Auto Co., Ltd. (浙江吉奥汽车有限公司) is a Chinese manufacturer of automobiles, commercial vehicles and SUV's located in Taizhou, Zhejiang. The company markets its products under the brand name Gonow car in the home market and on all other markets as Gonow, shortened.

The company was founded on the 27th September 2003 with headquarters in Taizhou, Zhejiang. The campus covers an area of 268,000 m² . Production began with the Gonow AGE, the initial phase of 60,000 units per year were produced. Gonow enlarged in 2005 for about 351.5 million ¥ its grounds as much as 100 acres and increased production to 200,000 units per year. Furthermore Gonow started a cooperation with the Wuhan Industrial University, which construction of the Gonow Automobile R & D Center took over.

2006 Gonow presented itself as the first Chinese car brand in the European Union market, which the joint venture of the Italian company DR Motor Company SpA reached its climax. This took the license production of two SUV models, marketed under the brand name Katay Gonow. Popularity of the SUV model Victory had its attachment to another company be awarded the trails. The choice fell to a German company. The components for this are made in Italy.

On October 24, 2010, Gonow was the first Chinese car to score points in a FIA world championship, with the 8th place of the Italian team Sonia Ielo - Francesca Olivoni in the Ecorally San Marino - Vatican City of the FIA Alternative Energies Cup.[1][2]

In 2010, Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. (GAC) bought 51% of Gonow.[3]
