In 1936, the first automotive harvester was built. And it was here, in Zenón Pereyra, manufactured by the firm Osvaldo and Atilio Forzani S.R.L., with the brand "Forzani". The pioneers and creators of such a remarkable team for the agricultural industry, came from the neighboring town of Esmeralda. They used to exploit the local ice mill and the ice factory. Subsequently, over the years the cooperative and the interconnected electric system arrived, and the power plant stopped working. The enterprising brothers take the metal-mechanical course that gave the national industry some of its best products. Still today, there are people who identify Zenón Pereyra with this brand. Many people worked in this factory. The money remained in the town, since all of its employees charged promptly and invested in local commerce, in the purchase of televisions, refrigerators, etc. The company always maintained its own resources because the profit was spent on investments of materials and others.

First harvester made[]

The first harvester unit was sold in 1937 to Mr. Juan Broda. It had an international MW-to-magnet engine and an agricultural handle. Other engines were placed: Continental, Mercedes Benz 1112 and 1114, Ford Thames, Perkins 4 cylinders. What was achieved in the market was placed, considering the restrictions of its supply for the world contest. The weight of the machine was four thousand two hundred kilograms, for fine harvest. In a year the factory reached the production of fifty units. The brand offered a wide range of machines and equipment for agriculture. In addition to the aforementioned grain harvesters, it also manufactured stretch grass balers, automotive grass balers, grain hoppers, grain harvesters, straw spreaders, and sunflower heads. He also placed caterpillar harvesters for swamps, brand 'Urvig', which were sold to the rice areas of the Province of Entre Ríos. The number of employees reached a peak of fifty, a very important figure for a town like Zenón Pereyra. The last combine was manufactured in 1969 and acquired by Mr. Francisco Bovo.

Forzani in the 80s[]

In 1981, the remaining personnel were compensated and closed. There was no rescue, there were no rescue policies for the dismissed families, the town losing the only industry of that moment. Unfortunately, the closure of a leading company located in the agricultural region par excellence in the center of the humid pampa that did not bother the governments in turn. These men whose only apprenticeship was work and their enormous dedication and ingenuity, were very practical and really craftsmen, but unfortunately they were neither financiers nor politicians. The closure of industries of national origin, as was the case, was a foretaste of what later, in more recent times, brought the country almost to the economic abyss. Although brief, this is a sincere and well-deserved tribute to these genuine entrepreneurs.
