The Farmall 544 Hi-Clear was a high clearance tractor built by International Harvester from 1968 to 1973 in the USA.

Model history

Main article: International Harvester

For high clearance version with hydrostatic transmission see: Farmall 544 Hi-Clear Hydro. For regular row-crop version see: Farmall 544.

The Farmall 544 Hi-Clear was based on the regular Farmall 544 but with larger diameter tires and longer front spindles to provide several inches of additional crop clearance.

Tractor Comparison, gasoline version

Competing directly with the Farmall 544 Hi-Clear were the Allis-Chalmers One-Seventy High Clearance and John Deere 2510 HC. The John Deere 2520 HC, which replaced the 2510 HC, was a more powerful tractor. The Case 730CK High-Clearance was also a larger and more powerful tractor.
