The Fairford Steam Rally and Show is held each August Bank Holiday weekend in Fairford Park on the outskirts of the village of Fairford Nr Cirencester in Gloucestershire, England. The gathering is organised by the Fairford Rally Committee and raises funds for the Cotswold District Scouts and local Charities.
Event history[]
The Event has been hosted for the last 40 years in "Fairford Park" by kind permission of the "Ernest Cook Trust" and Mr. R. Iles.
The 2007 & 2008 events were cancelled (reason not given in program) and so the 2009 event was the 40th that the Event has been held in the Fairford Park were the event enjoys a parkland setting and is laid out to meander around the extensive number of mature trees. This gives the rally a feel of being smaller than it is as it is split into section rather than being one large open space of some events.
This event is a National Traction Engine Trust Authorised Event.
