European Engine Alliance was a joint-venture established in 1996 in Turin, Italy by Cummins and two units of Fiat, Iveco and CNH Global (formerly New Holland). It was to build and design diesel engines together using technology from both Cummins and Fiat. Cummins, Iveco and CNH Global each owned 1/3 of the company. The venture lasted until 2008, when Fiat purchased Cummins shares.[1][2][3]

They had a similar venture in the USA called Consolidated Diesel Company.
