'Dennison Trucks was founded in Rathcoole, Dublin in the Republic of Ireland by George Dennison in 1977. The truck making business was started after the Dennison Trailers business was sold to Crane Fruefauf.[1]

The trucks were built from parts supllied by several OEM suppliers. Cabs from Motor Panels, Engines from Rolls-Royce or Gardner, and Fuller gearboxes with Eaton axles. from 1979 Sisu cabs from Finland were used.

Most were sold into the Irish market but a few were exported to the UK.

By 1981 they had ceased manufacture of trucks after building nearly 250 and went back into trailers with a new factory near Dublin.[2]

  • 8x4 rigids. - Mainly for tippers

Preservation[]

A few examples survive; The company has several examples of both trucks and trailers in their company museum at the Naas production site in Ireland.

  • LCK 495W+ owned by a Mr. J Dennison. Converted to 6x2 with alift axle. In the livery of "Tyson H Burrbrige Ltd" of Distington Cumbria.
