In 2007, Cub Cadet a brand of MTD Products, and Yanmar of Japan entered into a partnership to manufacture and market compact and utility tractors in the USA. They would be sold under the Cub Cadet Yanmar brand name through existing Cub Cadet dealers. C.U.T. Supply Company LLC was set up in Valley City, OH, USA, with assembly of the tractors taking place at Yanmar's North American headquarters in Adairsville, GA.
The partnership was revised in 2011 after only five years, with Yanmar taking full control, and the Cub Cadet name being dropped.[1][2]
