The County Power Drive 11F tractor was built in England by County. It is based on a Ford

Model historyEdit

For brand history, see County. This tractor appears to be based on both Ford 5000 & 7000 models of the late 1960's, I used to work on an 11F in East Suffolk which had a turbocharged engine as per the Ford 7000 . Motion control was via a single lever near the steering wheel, push the lever forwards to go forwards and pull back for reverse, the tractor had a fluid flywheel so would not move much on tick over. Gears were the same layout as the Ford tractor but the clutch pedal was removed and replaced with a small "inching pedal", this would allow the driver to stop moving without taking the tractor out of gear. The Brockhouse unit was very good an reliable, the tractor I knew of had two fore end loaders on at as the first one got worn up.

The 11F was to far ahead of it's time and just like the Ford Select-O-Speed sadly sold in low numbers, The only sales brochure I know of which shows the 11F is one for a Farmhand Loader. 12:58, August 15, 2012 (UTC)RB
